From Turtle to Panther!

Its amazing!! Im not out of breath and it sure does make a  pleasant change, now that im settled with Laura into a regular work out routine and improved my aerobic fitness I can now run for (drum roll please) 10 mins flat!!!!(rocky music was playing in my head when i heard this good news) It’s exciting watching my body change and food choices I make help feed my body with what it needs to become leaner, stronger and faster (insert Kanye Wests song here) (read more...)

59′ 02″ – Trial Run

Completed a trial run for the duathlon over the correct distances today (2.7km run, 13km cycle, 2.7km run) and it went fairly well. I completed it in a time of 59 mins 2 seconds. At first I was disgusted at how bad the time was but when I sat down and worked it out, it wasn’t all that bad. Begining of the final week

Well yesterday I had my final weigh in before my marathon. I am down 2 pounds and 1% BMI!! I was happy with my results but I thought I would be down more so Laura suggested I reduce my portion size, cut out carbs completely, and drink only herbal teas, like green tea, and continue with my water intake. To help see my portion sizes she asked me to send photos of everything I eat too.  (read more...)

Just over a week to go

Hi Guys. Training has been going very well and I am sticking to my nutrition plan. I did however move my cheat meal day to Friday instead of Monday just to keep in line with last week. This will also give me a straight run from this Saturday to next Friday with perfect nutrition and training. This will be my last full weeks training prior to the Duathlon so I need to make every day count!! (read more...)

Second weigh in

Hi all again. Well this week was quite tough for training. Between my last post and this Tuesday, training was minimal and to be honest Ill put that down to tiredness (the mind was willing the body was not). What I learned this week was that you have to force yourself and fight off fatigue, the first few mins will be tough but once you get into a good rhythm you shall succeed and you will probably end up doing an hour instead of 30 mins!
