Hi again. I just got back from Dublin following my meeting with Riaan Bornman. I must say it is extremely motivating to get advice from a guy that really walks the talk!! Riaan has given me a very strict diet to follow with a big emphasis on Fat Loss. I have no doubt it is going to be very tough! The exact details of the guidelines in which I will have to adhere to will be posted shortly. Just to give an idea of my nutritional plan, starting tomorrow morning:

Meal 1: NutritionX CellX Creatine and Glutamine – Taken on an empty stomach 30mins before Breakfast

Meal 2: 40g porridge with 300ml fat free milk

Protein Shake ( NutritionX Pro Matrix 2 scoops)

Meal 3: 6 egg whites scrambled with 2 rice cakes

Meal 4: Pre-training – NutritionX Xplode drink

Training – Leg Conditioning – Squats, Lunges, calf raises, leg extensions etc. (60mins)

Meal 5: Post-training –  NutritionX CellX Creatine and Glutamine

Meal 6: 30mins later  -  Protein Shake ( NutritionX Pro Matrix 2 scoops)

Meal 7:  170gram Skinless Chicken breast Fillet with 300gr Brocolli

Training: 30km cycle

Meal 8:  Protein Shake ( NutritionX Pro Matrix 2 scoops)

Throughout the day I will also be consuming 4.5ltrs of Water, 6 cups of Green Tea and a multivitamin 3 times. Do you reckon I will be busy tomorrow?? lol. I will be aiming to stick to this plan 5 days a week (Mon – Fri). No training Saturday or Sunday but diet will continue on weekend. Cheat meal will be on Monday.

Training went very well yesterday. I spent 60mins in the gym in the afternoon working  biceps and abs – muscles are very sore today (DOMS – Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) but I’m beginning to love this feeling of muscle soreness after working out. Its kind of like a little reward for my hard work. It tells me that what I did was enough the day before!

Then yesterday evening I hopped on the bike and blasted out 20km at a good pace – Forgot to time it though (Frustrating!!). Big time need to do something about the saddle. Very small and very hard, cant walk today, need I say more?

I was due to do a 6 mile run this evening, but due to extremely bad weather and being shattered from travelling all day, unfortunately I didn’t make it. I am disgusted with myself for missing a training session but I must remind myself that from time to time it is unavoidable. All I can do is put it behind me and fully focus on my diet and training tomorrow. Simply put, I will only get out exactly what I put in to this! Hey if any of you would like to ask me a question I will do my best to answer or if you would just like to leave a comment to say hi thats cool too. Need all the motivation I can get!! Mucho thanks…

Anyway thats about it for this post and I will talk to you again on Friday. All the best!!

Dave.
