Well yesterday I had my final weigh in before my marathon. I am down 2 pounds and 1% BMI!! I was happy with my results but I thought I would be down more so Laura suggested I reduce my portion size, cut out carbs completely, and drink only herbal teas, like green tea, and continue with my water intake. To help see my portion sizes she asked me to send photos of everything I eat too.
There is a silver lining to this though, my weight may not be down to what I thought it would be but my fitness has greatly improved! 3 weeks ago I could barely run 2 mins on treadmill on flat without looking for my inhaler and barely able to talk and looking like a beetroot. I can now go nearly 5 mins on an incline of 2 for just about 5 mins. Also I’m burning calories a lot faster, in 20 mins I burned 309 calories between jogging and walking and speaking of my walking I can now tackle the incline of 12 at quite a brisk pace. Now its still very tough but I can attempt it now and build my endurance!! Also I am able to do 3 reps of 20 squats and kettle weight lifts!
As this is my final week before marathon I’m really looking at everything I eat and I’m trying to beat my timing for walking/jogging to and from work. When I first started this I was getting times of 1.30-2 hours now I’m down to 1.15 and I want to try get it down to 1 hour before Monday!!
